The managers of the responsible department will review the applications.

Shortlisting:

Our HR department then receives a preliminary assessment of the applicants.

Interviews:

We invite suitable applicants to an initial interview at the Palast. In some cases, this may take place online, particularly if applicants live further away. Representatives from both the responsible department and HR attend the interviews. It’s very important to us that we get to know each other in a respectful, honest manner, hence we offer plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions. Occasionally, we also invite applicants to a second interview with a wider group of participants.

Trial day:

If the interview goes well, we’ll invite you to a trial day so that you can meet the team and learn more about your future tasks and workplace.

Decision:

The responsible department will reach a final decision on who it wishes to employ. You’ll be informed by HR accordingly.

We value all applicants, hence everyone who applies will receive a response (even if it is unfortunately a rejection).

Yes, please only apply via our online application form.

When you complete the online form, you’ll be asked to upload at least a CV. Please also provide any other relevant documents under “Further documents”. We’d also appreciate a cover letter, relevant references and certificates, and, where relevant, samples of your work.

We’ll confirm that we’ve received your application and send an update on its processing status at the latest two weeks later.

Yes, you can submit a speculative application at any time. We appreciate your interest in the Palast and are always on the lookout for talented and motivated staff. Simply submit your application and we’ll check whether we have a suitable opportunity for you.

Yes, in principle it is possible to do an internship at the Palast. Several of our departments are very happy to take on interns, however a few departments are unable to accept school interns. Please note that we cannot supervise internships at certain times of the year (e.g. during the theatre holidays or school holidays) and it is often difficult for us to predict which periods might be suitable. If you’re interested in doing an internship at the Palast, simply send us an unsolicited application and we’ll check whether we can offer you a place.
