At the Palast, we are constantly on the lookout worldwide for spectacular talent and outstanding artistic acts for our productions.

For many years, we have been working closely with renowned international festivals where the world’s best artists perform. We often book the winners exclusively for our Grand Shows in Berlin.

"In search of the best talent in the world"

We scout at the world’s leading festivals and events, where we regularly discover unique talent. However, we do not hold traditional castings in Berlin, as artists need special equipment and a lot of space for their performances – unlike dancers or singers, who can prep in rehearsal rooms.

We also work with internationally experienced talent scouts in various countries such as the USA and China, who screen new acts and pass on their expert recommendations to us. Before we hire an artist, we watch every performance live on location – this is the only way we can reliably judge artistic perfection, originality and stage presence.

Of course, our directors’ preferences and the respective show concept play a central role. Our own visionary suggestions and creative inspirations often flow into the productions.

Personally, I am particularly inspired by the many conversations and meetings with artists and casting directors from all over the world. This international exchange of experience and processes in recruitment helps enormously with the quality of the final selection. Over the years, we have built up a global network that enables us to attract the best of the best for our productions.

Representing the Palast in the world-renowned artistic scene is a great honour for us. For many artists, getting booked by us is a dream and a highlight of their career.

High-calibre artistry is an integral part of our shows’ DNA. We are proud to be able to present our audiences with unforgettable world-class acts on the world’s biggest theatre stage time and time again.
